Why We Built This

Public financial disclosures contain valuable signals, but they're buried in government databases that are hard to navigate. We built DataHeimdall to make this data accessible and searchable.

Every time a corporate executive buys or sells shares in their own company, they are required to file a Form 4 with the SEC within two business days. Every time a member of Congress trades a stock, they must disclose it under the STOCK Act. This information is public — but finding, filtering, and making sense of it has never been easy.

DataHeimdall changes that.

What We Track

  • SEC Form 4 filings — when company insiders (directors, executives, major shareholders) buy or sell shares in their own companies. This data updates daily from SEC EDGAR.

  • STOCK Act disclosures — congressional members' stock trades. This data is coming soon as we expand our data pipeline.

  • Grand Portfolio — an aggregated view of which stocks are most widely held across all tracked insiders. Think of it as a collective "smart money" signal.

How Data Is Updated

Our pipeline runs daily and automatically fetches new filings from SEC EDGAR. Data typically appears within 24 hours of being filed.

Each filing goes through a validation and deduplication process before it's stored, ensuring we don't show duplicate trades and that the data is as accurate as possible.

What's Coming

We're just getting started. Here's what's on the roadmap:

  • Congressional trades — full STOCK Act disclosure tracking
  • Super Investor tracking — 13F filings from institutional investors
  • Portfolio copier — follow any insider's trade activity in one view
  • Alerts — get notified when insiders at companies you follow make significant moves

Stay tuned — and if you have feedback or data correction requests, get in touch.
